TenneT awards IWS Windwalker first contract

Integrated Wind Solutions (IWS) has announced a new charter contract for IWS Windwalker with TenneT TSO B.V., the European Transmission System Operator owned by the Dutch government.

The charter contract has a minimum duration of four months and will commence after the vessel has been delivered from the shipyard and sailed to Europe.

Christopher Andersen Heidenreich, COO and Managing Director of IWS Fleet, commented: “We are pleased to announce our first charter contract with TenneT for our second vessel, the IWS Windwalker. The vessel will support maintenance for offshore substations in the Netherlands, demonstrating the ability of the Skywalker class to cover a range of requirements within offshore wind.”

IWS Windwalker is a 90m CSOV built in China by China Merchants Heavy Industry. The vessel is due to be delivered in Q2 2024. Sister vessel, IWS Skywalker, was delivered in December 2023 and is currently mobilising for a charter on Dogger Bank.
