TotalEnergies joins consortia in advancing floating offshore wind

TotalEnergies announces its participation in two consortia, led by Ocergy and ESTEYCO, that have been awarded Phase One of the Floating Offshore Wind Readiness prize by the U.S. Department of Energy. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the advancement of the global floating offshore wind industry.

The projects, spearheaded by Ocergy and ESTEYCO, are centred around the industrialization of innovative steel and concrete foundation designs, respectively. By securing this Department of Energy program, the consortia will aim to contribute to strengthening the United States' position in the floating offshore wind sector. The initiatives aim to develop mass manufacturing capabilities and establish the necessary infrastructure for large scale deployment, thus fostering the growth of the industry on a global scale.
