In the latest development for Esgian Offshore Wind, the ZhongNeng Phase 1 project gears up for the installation phase as Vestas turbines undergo preparations for loadout. This marks a significant milestone for the Taiwanese project's Phase 1, following the completion of foundation installations.

The chosen turbines for the project are the V174-9.5 models from Vestas, boasting a substantial capacity of 9.5 MW each. As the project progresses, attention now turns to the critical task of turbine installation.

Leading the charge in this endeavour is Fred Olsen Windcarrier's jack-up vessel, Bold Tern. Tasked with the installation work, Bold Tern has been a familiar presence in the region throughout the year, diligently navigating between various projects in Taiwan. Its role is pivotal in ensuring that all projects proceed seamlessly, with turbines erected and ready to contribute to the renewable energy supply for the Taiwanese grid.

With preparations underway and equipment in place, ZhongNeng's ambitious offshore wind venture continues to gain momentum, promising significant contributions to Taiwan's renewable energy objectives.
