IJmuiden - Port Mapping

The port of IJmuiden is located at the entrance to the North Sea Canal area. It offers round-the-clock access and without any restrictions of any kind. It has a reputation for the storage and transhipment of fresh and deep-frozen fish, offshore activities, ferry and cruise shipping, and the assembly and construction of offshore assets. The Port of IJmuiden has been providing services to the offshore wind sector since 2006. Its extensive track record on providing infrastructure for installation and maintenance of offshore wind farms includes OWEZ, Amalia and Luchterduinen. Furthermore, it is used by various offshore wind companies, including MHI Vestas, Eneco, Vattenfalf/NUON, Windcat workboats and C-Ventus. The Port Operators have invested in newly created land and quays next to open water, dedicated boatlandings with safe and easy access and a jetty to accommodate transfer vessels all available for offshore projects.

Australian study shows Port of Newcastle ideally located to support Floating Offshore Wind
