CP-8001

Heavy Maintenance and Construction

4C Offshore | CP-8001
The vessel is designed for turbine installation and also for operations in Japan's Greater Coasting Area being a shallow draft vessel. The owner states that the accommodation units and a helicopter deck for emergency transfer make it well suited for long-term operations in the place far from the mainland of Japan. It has the capability of lifting 5-6MW turbines, and purportedly up to 10 MW. The name CP-8001 is derived from 'Crane Piling'.

The legs are 66m, for 30m water depth, but the unit is designed for 86 m legs, for 50 m water depth.

In March 2020, DEME announced an MOU with Penta-Ocean Construction.
