Mutsu-Ogawara Port Offshore Wind Farm

16 Jan 2023: NEDO's "Examination and construction of a test site model for offshore wind observation" project will be led by a consortium headed by Kobe University. Mutsu Ogawara Port Offshore Wind Development Co., Ltd. stated: "This project is the first model of a test site that can be used publicly as a site for verifying and evaluating the observation accuracy of observation equipment used in wind condition observations for offshore wind power projects planned around the country. In constructing the test site, we will transfer the existing wind condition observation facilities (onshore equipment and equipment on the breakwater) to the consortium, and while cooperating in the construction of the test site, we will cooperate as much as possible in maintenance management, etc. The same content was published in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun on January 16, 2023. In it, there was a description that "Kobe University will use the test site owned by our company ..." Kobe University will use the observation facilities. Since the observation site is only a place that has been leased with permission from the port administrator, we would like to add that it is not a specific place but a specific facility that will be transferred."
