Lithuania - Wind Energy Development Area 1 Offshore Wind Farm

30 Aug 2021: Update 2023: Two development areas were decided in June 2022, The area of ​​the planned territory of the 700 MW offshore wind power park (Phase I - March 30 tender) in the Baltic Sea is about 120 km^2. The park will be about 36 kilometers away from the coast. The area of ​​the planned territory in the Baltic Sea for the 700 MW offshore wind farm (Phase II - autumn tender) is about 136.39 km^2. The park will be about 30 kilometers away from the coast. Update April 2021: Planning is still ongoing. The document is currently at a stage of inter-ministerial consultation. A revised marine spatial 'master plan' for 2030 is due to be adopted in H1 2020, which will confirm areas usable for offshore wind.
