29 Feb 2024: Update 3rd Nov: RVO will launch the offshore wind tender for Ijmuiden Ver Alpha and Beta on 29th February. The bidding window will close 28th March. The applicants can receive up to 400 points. The highest scoring candidate will be awarded the site. Awards are based on: financial offer (60 points); certainty of realisation (40 points); contribution of the wind farm to the energy supply (40 points); circularity (maximum use and reuse of raw materials) (40 points); environmental impact and value retention into account in the design, construction, operation and disposal of the wind farm (40 points); adhere to the principles of International Corporate Social Responsibility (40 points). Alpha will also require contribution of the wind farm to the ecosystem of the Dutch North Sea (180 points). Beta will also require contribution to the integration of the wind farm into the Dutch energy system (160 points) and measures that contribute to reducing porpoise disturbance days in the construction phase of the wind farm. (20 points) The maximum financial bid is €420 million over 40 years, via annual payments. Beta will also be required to build a floating solar farm within 72 months of the award.
