Hywind Tampen Floating Wind Farm

Norway
Fully Commissioned
95 MW Capacity
23 Aug 2023: Update 23 August 2023: Equinor begins full commercial operation of the wind farm. Update 01/08/2023: Hywind Tampen has yet to be fully commissioned. Update April 2023: full commissioning of the entire wind park expected in H2 2023. Update 30 August 2022: Equinor has announced that the subsea cables have been laid and connection was made. The first 7 Hywind Tampen turbines will produce first power later this year. Update July 2022: Supply chain bottlenecks, most notably related to the global market for steel, preclude delivery of the final four tower sections for the wind turbines until September 2022. This will be too late in relation to the installation weather window for the year, postponing installation of the remaining four turbines until Spring next year.  Update April 2021: Equinor plans to complete the offshore work by the end of 2022. According to the preliminary schedule the fully commission is expected in Q3 2022, after testing and commissioning of the offshore wind farm (late September 2022).
