Saemangeum Offshore Wind Farm

01 Jan 2024: Update (15 June 2022): developers are planning for an H2 2022 start to construction with completion by the end of 2024. Given the many years of delay in this project, onshore construction beginning in 2023 and offshore installation in 2024 seems more likely. Update (30 November 2021): offshore construction expected to begin in 2023. According to schedule released in January 2017, offshore installation was due to commence in April 2018, construction is more likely to be delayed. With developers anticipating an onshore construction date in June 2020 and commissioning in end-2022, a 2022 offshore construction start is plausible.
