22 Feb 2024: Update March 21 2024: The project has been accepted by the Planning Inspectorate for review. The application sets out a timeline for the project, which is expected to begin construction in 2026, and reach COD in 2030. Design envelope: • Up to 96 offshore turbines with a rotor diameter of 320 m and a maximum height of 364 m. • Onshore substation up to 400 kV, alongside an up to 400 kV cable that runs from the onshore station, located south of Bodelwyddan to a National Grid substation at Bodelwyddan. • Up to 360 km of offshore export cabling and up to 50 km of interconnector cabling. • Up to 325 km of inter-array cabling. • 15 km onshore cable corridor with landfall at Llanddulas running to the onshore substation. Update February 2024: Mona have submitted an application to the Planning Inspectorate, which is due to be accepted/rejected for examination by 21st March. Update: Formal submission of documents for DCO Submission is scheduled for Q1 2024 (was previously October 2023)
