17 Jul 2024: Update (July 2024): NY Governor Hochul announced construction has started onshore for Sunrise Wind following a groundbreaking at the Boys and Girls Club of Bellport on Long Island. Update (April 2024): Following financial close, onshore construction can commence ahead of previously estimated dates Update (February 2023): Eversource communicates that (onshore) construction is on track to begin in H2 2023. However, this is unlikely given that consent is expected in November 2023 and onshore construction must follow financial close. Update (October 2020): Ørsted sees delays beyond the planned 2023-4 construction period as ‘highly likely’. This is because of delays in clarity around permitting timelines. Sunrise Wind expects to commence onshore construction in 2022.
