More than 250 people attended the recent consultation events on the proposed
North Falls offshore wind farm which is carrying out its second consultation phase until Friday 9 December 2022.

Five face-to-face events were held in Tendring, Essex along with two webinars, which were designed to give the local community the chance to find out more about the project and talk to members of the project team. The local events in Frinton-on-Sea, Great Bromley, Tendring, Thorpe-le-Soken and Ardleigh, and the two webinars, were held during November.

The
online consultation portal remains live and the project team urge anyone who would like to feed their comments in to the project to do so via the portal before the consultation closes.

North Falls is owned equally by SSE Renewables and RWE Renewables, who have established a 50/50 joint venture company to develop the project. It is being developed on a site more than 20 km off the UK coast in the southern North Sea and covers a total area of 150 km² . The project, which will come ashore at an onshore grid connection in Tendring, Essex, is an extension to the adjacent 504 MW
Greater Gabbard wind farm which opened in 2013.
