Stornes has an in-house 'Deep Excavation System' (DES) which is an invention that allows flexible fallpipe vessels to dredge in depths of 1,000m or more. The vessel is able to dump to a depth of 1,800m with a dumping capacity up to 3,000 tons per hour.
